Acupuncture
-
Acupuncture has been used in China, Japan, Korea and other countries for thousands of years as a highly effective part of the population’s healthcare. Today in the United States , there are over 30 states that regulate the practice of acupuncture.
-
There are virtually no side effects from acupuncture. Rarely, slight bruising may occur. Patients rarely feel the needles and if they do, they feel only a slight sting or ache. I practice Japanese style acupuncture using the thinnest needles with gentle stimulation.
-
How does acupuncture work? Briefly, our bodies continuously circulate vital energy, called chi in oriental medicine, that sustains our health. When illness or injury occur in body, mind or spirit, the acupuncturist rebalances & restores that life giving and protecting chi-energy through the acupuncture points.

Nutrition is a key part in many areas of health including healthy bones, immune system function, as well as insomnia and PMS. Foods can be used to detoxify, cleanse and renew your health. Optimal health and recovery are enhanced by combining whole food nutrition and acupuncture. Whole food nutrition can be a critical piece to recovery and staying well.
Top quality whole food supplements are used in addition to teaching patients what foods to eat. Health is enhanced by learning the sources of nutrient dense foods.
